Public Entities Must Ensure Website & Mobile App Accessibility Under New ADA Rule
Public entities must ensure that their websites and mobile applications meet federal accessibility standards under a rule finalized by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) in April 2024. Beginning April 24, 2026, public entities serving populations of 50,000 or more must comply, with smaller entities and special district governments required to comply by April 26, 2027.
