ACF Offers 10 States $6 Million In Funding To Pilot Predictive Analytics For Child Safety Risk Assessment
The Administration for Children and Families (ACF) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has announced $6 million in competitive grant funding to help state, territorial, and tribal child welfare agencies pilot predictive analytics technology aimed at improving child safety and caseworker decision-making. The goal is that the selected jurisdictions would be able to use predictive analytics tools to identify lower risk cases that could be safely diverted from child welfare involvement and at the same time flag high-risk cases requiring immediate attention and foster care placement.
