30% Of Large Non-Profit Senior Living Facilities Have EHR With HIE Capabilities
About 80% of 150 largest non-profit senior living facilities have an electronic health record (EHR), and nearly 30% of these communities have an advanced (EHR) that can participate in information exchanges. Across all sizes of long-term care provider organizations, about 23% are using an EHR with advanced capabilities. About 20% of general long-term care provider organizations are using a basic EHR. Only about 4% of the 150 largest non-profit provider organizations are still using a Basic Information Systems and/or Basic EHRs.
