Preparing For An Audit – When…Not If

In the last few weeks, we've seen headlines about health care audits and billing fraud. The most recent was from the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announcing that so far in 2017, the Medicare Fraud Strike Force and 30 state Medicaid Fraud Control Units have combined to arrest 412 health care professionals and suspend an additional 300 (see Over 400 Health Care Professionals Charged For Committing $1.3 Billion In Health Care Fraud, Including Opioid Distribution).
