The Los Angeles homeless population exceeds the supply of permanent supportive housing (PSH) units. Currently, the county funds 17,131 PSH units for individuals, but 38,406 units are needed. The county currently funds 1,892 PSH units for families with children, but a total of 3,278 units are needed.
