Florida-based Avante Group, Inc. filed layoff notices in late March and in early April, 2018 in Virginia and in North Carolina that stated plans to sell 10 nursing facilities to SentosaCare, LLC. The layoff notices said the impact date was June 1, 2018. Financial details about the transactions have not been released. For both states, the layoff notices do not state the facilities' current occupancy rates. The transactions will curtail Avante's presence in Virginia, and end Avante's presence in the North Carolina market completely.
