Washington State Juvenile Recidivism Drops From 58% In 2011 To 54% In 2014

Between 2011 and 2014, juvenile recidivism for juveniles released from the state’s Juvenile Rehabilitation program in Washington State dropped from 58% to 54.3%. Juveniles are committed to the state’s Juvenile Rehabilitation program when they are found guilty of more serious crimes such as drug, property, weapon, sex, and assault misdemeanors; and drug, property, weapon, assault, violent-property, robbery-kidnap, sex, and homicide felonies.
