Anthem & Indiana Legal Services Create Partnership To Provide Free Legal Services For Medicaid Consumers
On March 11, 2019, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield Indiana announced a partnership with Indiana Legal Services to provide their Medicaid consumers with free legal services. All Central Indiana Medicaid consumers enrolled in Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP), Hoosier Healthwise (HHW), Hoosier Care Connect (HCC) or traditional fee-for-service are eligible to participate in the program. The emphasis of the legal services will be on unmet civil legal needs likely to negatively impact member health outcomes. Potential areas of focus include legal support for:
Housing
Income disputes
Education or employment
Legal status
Personal and family stability issues
