Prevalence Of Youth With Developmental Disabilities Increased Almost 10% Since 2009
The prevalence of U.S. youth with developmental disabilities, aged three to 17 years, has increased 9.5% since 2009, a 1.54 percentage point difference. Between 2009 and 2010, the prevalence of youth with a developmental disability was 16.22%. Between 2015 and 2017, the prevalence of youth with a developmental disability was 17.76%.
