Jury Awards $5.2 Million In Developmental Disability Discrimination Case Against Walmart
On September 26, 2017, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) filed a lawsuit against Walmart over discrimination against an employee with developmental disabilities. The settlement in EEOC v. Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. and Wal-Mart Stores East, LP, Civil Action No. 3:17-cv-739, calls for Walmart to pay $5.2 million in damages.
