Northern Maine Medical Center Launches Meds-To-Beds Program

On February 24, 2020, a representative from Northern Maine Medical Center (NMMC) confirmed that a “Meds-to-Beds” program is in the process of being launched from their newly opened, on-site, outpatient pharmacy. The program will ensure that a consumer’s post-discharge medications are filled before the consumer leaves the hospital at no additional cost. Upon request, these prescriptions will be delivered to his or her room by a pharmacy staff member during business hours, and a pharmacist will be available to counsel consumers on their medication(s).
