Employer Health Care Costs Rose 4% Between 2019 & First Half 2020
A survey of employers about their plans for health benefits for 2020 found that between 2019 and the first half of 2020, the average premium rose by 4% for both individual coverage and family coverage. The average individual coverage premium was $7,470; the average family coverage was $21,342.
