Nicotine Gum, High Blood Pressure Medication & Hearing Aids Could Reduce UK Dementia Incidence by 8.5%
Interventions like nicotine gum to help older adults quit smoking, medication to treat high blood pressure in mid-life, and hearing aids for people with moderate hearing loss in mid-life can all help prevent or delay the onset of dementia by about 8.5%, saving £1.9 billion (about $2.5 million).
