Henry Ford Health System Forms Joint Venture With Acadia To Create Detroit-Area Behavioral Health Hospital

On December 9, 2020, Henry Ford Health System and Acadia Healthcare Company, Inc., announced that they formed a joint venture to create a 192-bed behavioral health hospital in Detroit, Michigan. They intend to open the new facility in late 2022. It will provide comprehensive inpatient treatment for adults, seniors, and adolescents, and will provide training for inpatient psychiatry residents, medical students, nurses, and other health care professionals.

The health system owns the land where the new facility will be constructed, and on December 7, 2020, received rezoning approval for the parcel from the West Bloomfield Township Board. The partners . . .
