About 77.7% of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) ages 3 to 17 had at least one mental health condition, as reported by their parents in 2016. Nearly half (about 49.1%) had more than one mental health condition.
The most common mental health conditions were:
Behavior/conduct problem (60.8%)
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (48.4%)
Anxiety (39.5%)
Depression (15.7%)
Tourette syndrome (1.8%)
