New HUD Funding Available For Very-Low-Income Senior Housing & Aging In Place Services
The federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced the availability of $150 million to eligible non-profit organizations for supportive housing for very-low-income older adults age 62 and older who seek to live independently and age in place. The funding is through Section 202, which provides capital advance funding for the development of supportive rental housing for very-low-income older adults, as well as project rental subsidies in the form of project rental assistance contracts, to maintain ongoing affordability.
