On February 24, 2021, Brookdale Senior Living Inc. announced it entered a definitive agreement to sell an 80% stake in its health care services business, Brookdale Health Care Services (BHS), to HCA Healthcare for $400 million. The transaction is expected to close in the late first half or early second half of 2021. Brookdale Senior Living will retain its 20% stake. BHS provides home health, hospice, and outpatient therapy services to older adults.

BHS operates 57 home health agencies and 22 hospice agencies across 26 states, along with 84 outpatient therapy locations. The services are available to residents of Brookdale . . .
