Old Age & Intellectual Disability Are Factors With Greatest Risk Of Death From COVID-19
Old age and intellectual disability are the factors with the greatest risk factor for death from coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Those with intellectual disabilities were 5.9 times more likely to die from COVID-19 than the general population. Among adults age 60 to 79, the risk of death following a COVID-19 diagnosis was 16.9 times higher than for a person age 20 to 39 diagnosed with COVID-19.
