Epic & Humana Launch Collaboration Allowing Epic Users To Submit Electronic Prior Authorization Requests

On March 24, 2021, electronic health record (EHR) vendor Epic and Humana, Inc. announced that Humana network provider organizations will be able to submit prior authorization requests from the Epic EHR. The clinical professionals will be able to remain within current EHR workflows, and will not need to switch systems or screens.
