Humana Reaches $17 Million Settlement In Overtime Pay For Home Care Workers
On March 26, 2021, Humana reached a $17 million settlement agreement to resolve a class-action lawsuit filed by home care workers who sued Humana at Home 1, Inc., for overtime pay. The workers had been asked to work 24-hour live-in shifts or non-live-in hourly shifts that lasted from 8 to 12 hours without proper overtime pay. Under the settlement in Kinkead v. Humana At Home, on average, each class member will be paid at least $6,800.
