California Inpatient Psychiatric Facilities & Behavioral Health Provider Organizations Eligible To Participate In HIE Onboarding Program

On April 5, 2021, the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) announced inpatient psychiatric facilities and behavioral health provider organizations eligible to bill for care delivered to Medicaid beneficiaries as provider organization types can participate in the California Health Information Exchange Onboarding Program (Cal-HOP). Before March 2021, these provider organization types could not participate in Cal-HOP. When Cal-HOP started, it focused on primary care provider organizations. Onboarding opportunities under Cal-HOP will be available through September 2021.
