During the first quarter of 2021, New York State provider organizations serving people with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) reported a 24.8% average vacancy rate. About 23.7% of these provider organizations reported a vacancy rate of 30% or higher. These statistics are based on a survey completed by 118 I/DD service provider organizations in the state from January 1, through April 30, 2021. No previous staff vacancy statistics were reported.
