New Jersey Legislation Requires Behavioral Health Contractors To Attest To Status Of ‘Labor Harmony’ Agreements To Ensure Uninterrupted Delivery Of Services
On July 1, 2021, New Jersey began implementing a new law that requires the Department of Human Services (DHS) and the Department of Children and Families (DCF) to ask contractors providing behavioral health services to submit an attestation about whether they had been approached by a union and their status in signing a Labor Harmon Agreement to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of services and avoid disruptions due to labor-management disputes.
