On October 1, 2021, the Henrico County, Virginia government and the Capital Region Workforce Partnership (CRWP) released a request for proposals (RFP 1360-2) seeking an organization that can expand the career pathway model for a year-round and summer workforce program for youth and young adults ages 14 to 24 who live in the Capital Region of Virginia. The CRWP intends to award up to $500,000 in Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funds for an in and out of school youth program. A county spokesperson said there is currently no contract for in-school youth services.
