During the first 12 months of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) public health emergency (from April 1, 2020, through March 31, 2021), C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan reported that its payer mix changed for pediatric admissions for restrictive eating disorders. Privately insured admissions rose 8.1 percentage points and uninsured admissions rose 2.9 percentage points, and publicly funded admissions declined 11.1 percentage points.
