Will 987 Become 44,325?

With the rush of new retail players in the health care market, I’ve been struck by the potential for new access points for consumer services—both face-to-face and virtual. Our team is tracking the health care plans of a few key retail players—Amazon, CVS, Walmart, Walgreens, Kroger, and Dollar General. Doing some quick math, these organizations appear to have 987 health care service locations in operation now—but they have 44,325 retail service locations.
