In an international ranking of the quality of end-of-life care, the United Kingdom (UK) ranked best across 81 countries. The United States ranked 43rd, and was ranked lower than Canada. The rankings were based on a 100-point scale. Scores ranged from 93.10 for the UK to 33.33 for Paraguay. The United States ranked 71.47 and Canada ranked 81.21.
