Lutheran Social Services Of Illinois Launches New Therapeutic Foster Care Program In Peoria

On January 25, 2022, Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) announced the expansion of its Therapeutic Foster Care Program to Peoria. The program currently serves Aurora, Chicago, and Rockford.

The Illinois DFCS selected LSSI in 2016 to pilot treatment foster care. LSSI successfully completed the 5-year pilot phase, and the central Illinois program has been added to the continuum of care for youth in the state. The open-ended contract has yearly renewal options. The Peoria contract is valued at $900,000 per year once the program is fully implemented.
