On February 3, 2022, the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) launched the Division of Child and Family Well-Being. The focus of the division is supporting the physical, behavioral, and social needs of children. These programs currently include nutrition programs, health-related programs, school and community mental health services, and the programs for children with developmental delays. The goal is to focus on whole child and family health to encourage resilience and support better educational outcomes.
