The Difference Between $185,000 & $7 Million
I've never understood how c-suite salaries in non-profit health and human service organizations are set. They are all over the board. In a recent article, Nonprofit Hospital CEO Compensation: How Much Is Enough?, the authors point out that in 2017, the top ten highest paid non-profit health system executives each made $7 million or more. The bottom 25 percent had annual compensation of about $185,000.
