July 24, 2025

1:00 – 2:00 pm ET

Successful provider organization strategies often rely on great technology investments. One role of the chief financial officer (CFO) includes ensuring that those technology investments lead to financial sustainability and long-term growth.

In this one-hour live presentation, the Hillsides leadership team, including Greg P. Santilli, Chief Financial Officer; Tom Foster, Senior Director of Technology Services; and Kristin Feltz, Director of Communications and Marketing, will explain how they used Microsoft Power BI to create dashboards that help them make better decisions based on consumer-related data (like intakes, client numbers, lengths of stay, and costs per client), private insurance billing activities (such as billings, collections, and outstanding accounts receivable), and the use of their main county contract that supports their mental health programs.

They will also discuss how they have utilized digital marketing capabilities to drive consumer referrals, adopted an AI-based application to streamline therapist note-taking for efficiency, utilized the capabilities and functionalities of Excel workbooks to develop pro forma financial cost models, leveraged Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT to track actual financial results, and used PowerPlan to develop their annual budget and cost allocations and monitor actual performance versus budget benchmarks.

Executive attendees of this session will learn how to:

  • Leverage Microsoft Power BI dashboards to make data-informed decisions.
  • Use AI can help organizations increase productivity and reduce costs.
  • Use Excel to develop pro forma financial models to assess the financial viability of potential new program opportunities.
