Systematically Evaluating Growth Opportunities: The Monarch Case Study

September 04, 2025

1:00 – 2:00 pm ET

Developing the solid growth strategy that is essential to long-term organizational financial sustainability presents health and human service provider organization executives with a challenge—how to evaluate and choose between the wide range of potential opportunities. A structured approach to assessing growth choices that encompasses both present and future market scenarios is the answer.

During this one-hour live presentation, Vice President of Business Development Jerel Wilson will outline Monarch’s process for the development and implementation of a customized opportunity rubric that supports the organization in quickly reviewing requests for proposals (RFPs), grants, and other new business opportunities. She will also explain the critical need to pursue sustainable growth in an increasingly competitive landscape by using a well-designed rubric to prioritize opportunities that align with an organization’s mission, strategic goals, and financial stability.

Executive attendees of this session will:

  • Understand how to define opportunity evaluation criteria with a scoring system.
  • Learn how to integrate the rubric effectively and its scoring system into their organization’s decision-making processes.
  • Learn how to effectively communicate and educate decision-makers on the strategic benefits and the process to increase interdepartmental transparency, improve resource allocation, and enhance accountability.
