A couple of months ago my colleague, OPEN MINDS Senior Associate Howard Shiffman, asked an important question for every manager, in his Circle briefing - Are You 'Coachable'? all members. The ability to accept advice is one of a few important keys to executive success – and has been written about since biblical times, such as this passage from Proverbs, "Listen to advice and accept correction, then in the end you will be wise."
But coaching is a two-way street. Managers also need to learn how to be a coach in order to build an effective team. And . . .
