I was reminded of the expression “Do The Right Thing” this week when I read that Danny Aiello, star of the movie with the same name, passed away. And it was also the big takeaway from our interview with Tonya Copeland, UnitedHealthcare (UHC) vice president of I/DD Services and Employment and Community First CHOICES program. Her team developed a holistic approach to serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) that enables people to live the lives they choose, and it has reduced the cost of care.
