The proportion of health care organizations using artificial intelligence (AI) increased by a few points between September 2023 and May 2025—from 5.9% to 8.3%, respectively (see Adoption of Artificial Intelligence in the Health Care Sector). The health care sector lagged behind all other areas of the economy in AI adoption—finance and insurance services adoption was 11.6%; education, 15.1%; professional, scientific, and technical services, 19.2%; and information services, 23.2%.
