That experience popped into my head when I was reading more about the move to home-based services to replace stays in skilled nursing facilities (SNF) after a hospital stay. It is common for many adults, post hospitalization, to spend at least three to four weeks in an SNF for “rehab.” But that may become the exception rather than the rule—with consumers going directly home from their hospital . . .
