Just Quit It

As a scientist and analyst, I just want to say—quit using artificial intelligence (AI) to write reports that are supposed to be based on facts. Use AI to make pictures for your children’s birthday party.;Use AI to write your historical fiction novel.;Use it to take notes in your recent meeting.;Use AI to speed clinical documentation. But do not rely on AI to prepare a document meant to present;research;and analysis.;

It was a predictable and preventable error when the;Chicago Sun-Times;and other newspapers recently . . .
