The pending changes to California’s Medicaid program—California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal, known as CalAIM—continue to cast a long shadow over strategies for health and human service provider organizations in the state. This is because the reforms will change the services delivered by provider organizations; how provider organizations are paid, and who will pay them.
