On July 4, the Federal Budget Reconciliation passed, and with it literally dozens of changes to the health and human service system (see The 2025 Federal Budget Reconciliation Bill (H.R.1 – One Big Beautiful Bill Act): Implications For The Health & Human Service Field). For people enrolled in ACA exchange plans, there are two big changes. First, there will be new documentation requirements for those enrolled in ACA exchange plans starting December 31, 2027. Second, premium supports for people enrolled in ACA exchange plans will end on December 31, 2025.
