Last week, we covered the slow uptake of MAT models of addiction treatment—even with regulatory changes that have resulted in more prescribers for those medications (see;What Will Move The Needle?). If more prescribers haven’t moved the needle on use of MAT, the question for health and human service executives is, what will?;My colleagues cited workforce issues, organizational and social stigma, and lack of integrated care models as some of the key structural, systems, and cultural issues to be addressed increasing MAT use specifically.
