There’s No Turning Back From Meaningful Use
Last week, the American Medical Association (AMA) released what they are calling a "Blueprint to Improve the Meaningful Use Program," which was described in a letter to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC). In this letter, the AMA recommended that the program allow for more flexibility; a better alignment of quality measures to reduce the reporting burden; a increased focus on quality measured that are more evidence-based; and a greater focus on key areas, like interoperability.
