Who Do You Trust?
It’s a tough time to make consumer engagement happen. Why do I think that? To engage someone requires them to trust you, and trust in the health care field is at an all-time low according to a recent report, Influence Index: Health, Power & Influence. The survey found that barely half (52%) of Americans trust the U.S. health care system to act in their best interests and more than a third (36%) actively distrust it.
Trust levels are roughly equal across demographic groups, but slightly higher among conservatives (56%), men (57%), and health professionals (58%). Not surprisingly . . .
