Area On April 18, 2007, Aetna expanded its use of Bridges to Excellence methodology into pay-for-performance programs in Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia. Aetna also participates in existing Bridges to Excellence markets in Cincinnati, Ohio; Atlanta, Georgia; and Louisville, Kentucky.
