100,000 U.S. Long-Term Care Residents & Staff Died Of COVID-19 Through November 25
Coronavirus disease 19 (COVID-19) contributed to the deaths of more than 100,000 U.S. long-term care facility residents and staff as of the last week in November 2020, according to recent findings from Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF). Between April 2020 and November 2020, the number of resident and staff deaths in long-term facilities that are attributable to COVID-19 increased approximately 504.2% (from 16,556 deaths in April to 100,033 total in November).
