Among adults aged 65 years and older in seven countries who were admitted to a hospital following hip fracture in 2016, about 26.1% died within the next 365 days from the date of admission. The data is from Australia, Canada, England, Germany, New Zealand, Spain, and the United States. The one-year death rate following hip fracture admission ranged from 23.0% in Canada to 31.6% in England. In the United States, the rate was 26.7%.
