26 States Sue To Block Medical Frailty Provisions In Interim Medicaid Work/Community Engagement Rules
A coalition of 26 states is suing to challenge the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) definition of medical frailty in its implementation of new Medicaid work requirements included in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) of 2025. The lawsuit was filed on June 29, 2026.
