A Third Of Children & Adolescents In German Psychiatric Facilities Reported Maltreatment By Nursing Staff
Approximately 33.3% of individuals who had an inpatient stay at a psychiatric facility in Germany before age 18 reported being mistreated by the nursing staff. This compares to about 17% of individuals who experienced maltreatment from the nursing staff at a general or pediatric facility as a child, according to a survey of 2,516 survey participants in Germany.
