Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana’s (BCBSLA’s) Zero Dollar Co-pay (ZDC) program, a new value-based insurance design (VBID), was associated with a 17.5% decrease in total spending on medical and pharmacy for enrolled members participating in a chronic disease management program.
