ACF Launches $6 Million Pilot To Use Predictive Analytics For Child Welfare Risk Assessment
The Administration for Children and Families (ACF) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has announced $6 million in competitive grant funding to help state, territorial, and tribal child welfare agencies pilot predictive analytics technology aimed at improving child safety and caseworker decision-making. The goal is to help jurisdictions use predictive analytics tools to identify lower-risk cases that could be safely diverted from child welfare involvement while flagging higher-risk cases that may require immediate intervention.
