Aetna Reenters Health Insurance Marketplace Exchanges In Eight States
On August 4, 2021, Aetna/CVS Health announced it had filed to reenter the individual insurance exchange markets in eight states: Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Missouri, Nevada, North Carolina, Texas, and Virginia. The plans blend the Aetna provider organization network with CVS HealthHUBs and MinuteClinic.
In May 2017, Aetna announced plans to completely end its participation in the individual Health Insurance Marketplace exchanges in all states, and did not offer any Marketplace plans for the 2018 plan year. CVS Health completed its acquisition of Aetna on November 28, 2018.
